Siri Shiva S. Yogiji, founder of the Amitabha Institute, Natarajah School of Yoga and creator of the Dharva Healing method, is an ordained Interfaith Minister, spiritual counselor and healing arts practitioner. Yogiji’s personal path has been one of syncretism, embraces all spiritual paths that lead the seeker to a life of compassionate action.
Yogiji began studying yoga in 1993 and has passionately taught the art & scienc of Yoga and Self Awareness for over 15 years. Yogiji is certified in Hatha Yoga, Kundalini Yoga and educated as a certified Personal Trainer, Reiki and Reconnective Healing Practitioner. With a teaching style marked by a charismatic charm that motivates and heals while simultaneously challenging and nurturing students.
In 2000, Yogiji debuted as a dancer in Disney’s Broadway hit musical The Lion King, directed by two time Tony Awards winner Julie Taymor. Yogiji continued to appear and star in films, television, and videos while teaching yoga and continuing to consult clients in wellness management.
Featured in the YogaWorks DVD series, Yogiji has taught and lectured on yoga, meditation and other mind-body topics in scores of venues and to various populations ranging from children to University students, stay at home moms, corporate moguls and celebrities in the United States, Latin America, Europe and Asia.
